When you connect to Windows Update you should only get patches from the last few months, and maybe a couple of others but certainly not hundreds as you would otherwise... Here are the updates, in order. I also don't know if the fix would have worked with just the KB3177467 update installed prior to installing KB3172305 as per Brad's instructions. It would be helpful if someone tried this and posted if that is not the case, but I certainly would use UltraISO or a similar program to further inject my @Instructions
