Mate thank you so much for sharing this information. The Wireless Network Adapter (Atheros AR5005G) is set to not being able to be deactivated to save energy in Device Manager. It was aggravating to have my wifi shut off on me every two seconds! If the above suggestions didn't fix your problem please comment below so I can help.

FOLLOW-UP: The above worked until Windows did an update of the Ralink wifi adapter installing the latest driver rev 22.214.171.124 dtd 2013, then the intermittent connectivity issue returned. I tried to change them and then change them back to how I want them but no change!
