Before taking it apart, make sure the laptop is turned off. First, the hardware. I went with Crucial for my added memory and bought it through Amazon: Crucial Single 8GB DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) Notebook Module, CT102464BF160B for about $45. I also bought Remove the top and bottom covers. Use your phillips bit to remove the 5 exposed screws on metal plate under the keyboard. Keep track of which screws go into which holes Open up my Yoga, I only see one notch in the slot.

I just purchased a Lenovo Yoga 3 pro that came with the Wireless A/C card, but the WiFi survey software I use does not support the Broadcom chipset. There are no consumer 5mm drives available currently. But none the less excellent instructions. I followed the instructions for removing the back cover, I did *not* disconnect the battery but was very careful otherwise, removed the old card, slotted in the new, connected the wires, As an IT guy, I really beat up on my laptops, and the Yoga has done very well for me. My old "Yoga" has the i5-3317u processor.
