The power option is the sleep when the lid closes. I had it set to sleep on lid close, but the option called "Enable InstantResume" was checked, which I suppose held it off from going to full standby. My other laptop has Vista. People don't want the PC going blank on them so they set all options to Do Nothing under "Change what happens when I close the lid". Even if i disaple sleep mode, the monitor wont wake up.
