Last night I took it out to dismantle it and to remove the hard drive to use it as external drive for my desktop. That is probably why when hitting all the suggested keys to fireup the monitor, nothing worked because the keyboard was dead. By the way the laptop's model is Satellite. Give the laptop a minute or two, then connect your battery and AC adapter again and try it.
